The wall is too narrow for units either side of a TV this size, so the drawing shows a plain build-out. A smaller TV or a wider wall makes room for them.
Rough sizes in millimetres are fine. Our engineer measures everything on site before anything is made.
Measure the whole wall from corner to corner, and floor to ceiling.
Measure the whole wall from corner to corner, and floor to ceiling. The depth is how far the wall comes out into the room: about 300 mm suits an inset fire.
Tick what's there and we'll handle all of it. A flat-pack kit leaves these to you.
Old walls and floors are rarely straight. Scribing means shaping the edge of the unit so it follows the wall exactly, with no gaps to fill. Every Vayton fit includes it.
We do the building work too, so you deal with one firm.
Soft-close hinges and drawer runners come as standard. Push-to-open doors use a push catch instead.
Choose the track the doors run on and the style of the door panels.
No doors in this design.
Sliding doors have a slim pull built into the edge, so there are no handles to choose.
Painted in any colour you like, or a real wood finish. Colours on screen are a guide.

No payment and no commitment. We'll call you to book a time for our engineer to measure.

The price is an estimate. It's always best for our engineer to measure on site, and we confirm the price in writing once we've seen the walls, pipes and skirting.
Plan a built-out media wall with an inset electric fire and storage either side, or panelling, a low TV unit and shelves fixed to the wall you already have. Pick the TV size and the colour, and the estimate follows with the electrics included.

From £2,080 fitted and painted, including VAT: panelling behind the TV and a 1,000 mm floating TV unit on your existing wall, with the allowance for a registered electrician we arrange.
Built-out media walls start at about £2,650 to £2,900: plain, with no fire, on a 1,800 mm wall.
Prices checked November 2026. Each is an estimate including VAT. Your fixed price comes in writing after our engineer measures.
A built-out wall is a new timber and plasterboard wall in front of yours, with the TV and an inset fire set into it and cupboards either side if you want them. On your existing wall, we fix panelling, a low TV unit and floating shelves straight to it.
Yes, on a built-out wall. An inset fire needs about 250 mm of depth, so it is not offered on your existing wall. The price includes the recess with a heat-rated liner and an allowance for a fire of about 50 inches.
The designer covers screens from 50 to 85 inches. The TV itself is yours. On a built-out wall we fix the bracket into solid timber behind the board.
A registered electrician we arrange fits the TV sockets, the cable routes and the spur for a fire, and gives you a certificate. An allowance for that work is already in the price.
On a built-out wall they run hidden inside it. On your existing wall, the registered electrician we arrange runs a cable route in the wall.
