Your size

Rough sizes in millimetres are fine. Our engineer measures everything on site before anything is made.

Measure wall to wall along the back, and floor to ceiling. 600 mm deep fits hangers side to side.

Tick what's there and we'll handle all of it. A flat-pack kit leaves these to you.

What does scribing mean?

Old walls and floors are rarely straight. Scribing means shaping the edge of the unit so it follows the wall exactly, with no gaps to fill. Every Vayton fit includes it.

Doors

Soft-close hinges and drawer runners come as standard. Push-to-open doors use a push catch instead.

Finish
Your paint

Already have a colour in mind? Pick the paint maker and type the colour name or code. We match it exactly for your job.

Sheen

Premium paint makers cost more, shown as a separate line in your price. Paint names belong to their makers. We buy the paint you choose, or have it matched by a spray shop for sprayed doors.

Painted on site or sprayed
Hand painted or sprayed?

Hand painted means we paint the units in your room after fitting, so every joint and scribe is filled and painted in one go. Sprayed means the doors go to a spray shop for a smoother, factory-style finish, and the frame is painted on site to match. We bring a painted sample board when we measure.

Your price

We'll email you a photo-quality picture of your design, usually by the next working day. Free, with no obligation.

No payment and no commitment. We'll call you to book a time for our engineer to measure.

What happens next: we reply within one working day and book a time to measure. You get a written quote, and fitting is typically 4 to 6 weeks after the measure.

The price is an estimate. It's always best for our engineer to measure on site, and we confirm the price in writing once we've seen the walls, pipes and skirting.

Design your own fitted wardrobe

Choose a single wardrobe, a double or one that fills the wall, then set the doors, the inside of each section and the colour. The estimate moves as you go and covers making, fitting and painting.

How to design your own fitted wardrobe

  1. Pick a single, a double or a wardrobe that fills the wall.
  2. Enter the width and height of the space, measured wall to wall and floor to ceiling.
  3. Choose hinged or sliding doors, and top cupboards or tall doors to the ceiling.
  4. Set the inside of each section: long hanging, double hanging, shelves, drawers and hanging, or shoes and shelves.
  5. Pick a colour, check the estimate, then send it to us for a fixed price after our engineer measures.

Questions

How deep does a fitted wardrobe need to be?

About 600 mm lets hangers sit side to side. Hangers need about 550 mm, so in a shallower space we fit a rail that pulls out to the front instead.

Hinged or sliding doors?

Hinged doors open a whole section at once and suit most bedrooms. Sliding doors save space in front of the wardrobe but need about 100 mm more depth for the track. A single wardrobe has a hinged door.

What can go inside?

Each section can have long hanging, double hanging, shelves, drawers under a rail, or shoe shelves. Rails, shelves and drawers can be moved to suit you before we make it.

Does it go up to the ceiling?

Yes. Hinged wardrobes can have top cupboards above the doors or tall doors right up. Each section is its own carcass, scribed to the walls and the ceiling.

How long does it take?

Fitting is typically 4 to 6 weeks after our engineer measures. We confirm the price in writing first, so you know the cost before anything is made.
