Storage capacity and everyday access
List the items that need a home: long and short hanging clothes, folded clothing, shoes, luggage or other bulky items. Mark the shelf and drawer arrangement, because outside width alone does not show capacity. Consider who uses each part and how often.
Check the space for doors and drawers to open with the bed and other furniture in place. Handles, sliding-door overlap and deep shelves can affect usable access. An internal storage schedule gives the supplier and installer a clearer brief than a photograph of the desired appearance alone.
