Vayton makes bespoke fitted furniture for London homes. Our prices include making, fitting, painting and VAT, and you can design your piece online and see an estimate before anyone visits.

Fixed price in writing

Once you approve your quotation, the price stays as quoted, even if our prices go up. If anything has to change, we agree it with you in writing first.

Our first 10 fitted furniture orders of £3,000 or more, with a deposit paid from 4 January to 28 February 2027, get a free made-to-measure radiator cover (£400 to £500 on our price list, depending on size) or a drawer bank inside a cupboard (£300 to £400). Offer terms

What we make

Prices include making, fitting, painting and VAT. TV walls on your own wall start at £2,080, and built-out media walls from about £2,650. Your fixed price comes in writing after our engineer measures. The pictures are design renders, styled for illustration; prices are for the furniture.

Room prices

A whole room at one price, made, fitted and painted, with VAT. Radiator covers are about £300 to £400 each in a room, against £400 to £500 on their own, because they share the survey visit and the paint.

    Add a bay window seat with drawers: about £7,200 to £7,900 for the room. The seat cushion is priced after the survey.

  • Hallway

    About £4,350 to £4,800

    • Under-stairs storage with three doors
    • A bench with shoe drawers and hooks
    • One radiator cover, made to measure

    Add panelling up the hall, stairs and landing: about £6,350 to £7,000 for the room.

Furniture and building work in one price

We're builders as well as furniture makers. If a radiator sits where the wardrobe should go, our plumber moves it. We arrange a registered electrician to move sockets and wire any lights or fire. Our decorators make good and paint the room afterwards, and all of it goes into one fixed price.

Our carpentry and joinery

  1. Our plumber moves the radiator out of the alcove.
  2. A registered electrician we arrange moves the socket above the worktop.
  3. We make good the walls and paint the room.

How buying works

Start in the designer, or send us photos of the room. The designer shows your piece in 3D, and the estimate changes as you change the design.

When you're ready, our engineer comes to measure, free of charge, because walls and ceilings in older London houses are rarely straight. You then get a fixed price in writing.

The furniture is usually ready 4 to 6 weeks after the measure. It's guaranteed for 10 years on the units and our workmanship, and for 2 years on the paint finish.

Your quotation is valid for 30 days. Once you approve it, the price stays as quoted. It only changes if you change the design or we find something the survey couldn't show, and then we agree it with you in writing first.

Doors, handles and paint

Handles come in seven types and eleven finishes, from aged brass to polished nickel. The designer has 24 colours, or you can type the name of any paint colour and we'll match it, in matt, eggshell or satin. Premium paint makers are at no extra charge for surveys booked from 4 January to 28 February 2027. From 1 March 2027, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Mylands add £60 an alcove or unit, and Dulux Heritage adds £30.

Each picture is a render of a real design from our designer, shown with its price. Tap one to open it in the designer, ready to change. Photos of finished jobs join them as our furniture jobs are completed.

What fitted furniture do you make?

Fitted wardrobes, media walls, alcove cupboards and shelving, under-stairs storage and built-in cupboards, all made to measure and painted on site.

How do your prices work?

Each design on this page shows its estimate, made, fitted and painted, including VAT. After our engineer measures, you get a fixed price in writing, valid for 30 days. Once you approve it, the price stays as quoted.

Is the measure visit free?

Yes. Our engineer measures your room for free, and there is no obligation to order.

Which areas do you cover?

How long does it take?

Furniture is usually ready 4 to 6 weeks after our engineer measures.

Can you do the building work as well?

Yes. We are builders as well as furniture makers. Our Gas Safe plumber can move a radiator, a registered electrician we arrange can move sockets, and we make good the walls and paint the room, all in one fixed quotation.
