Plan the layout and the building work
A replacement kitchen can involve more than new units. The position of the sink, appliances, sockets and extraction affects preparation, service connections and the sequence of work. Share the supplier’s plan alongside photographs of the existing room. We discuss what stays, what moves and what needs investigation before the installation scope is agreed. If walls or openings are changing, the necessary design information and approvals need to be established before that work starts.
Agree who supplies and fits each item
Cabinets, worktops, appliances, flooring and tiles may come from different suppliers. Identify what you are buying and what you want included in Vayton’s quotation. Check product dimensions, delivery dates and whether specialist measuring or installation is needed. Worktops may require a separate visit after units are fitted. Plumbing, electrical and gas work, where relevant, must have clear responsibilities and appropriate specialist input; these items should be identified in the agreed scope.
Prepare for the time without a kitchen
Tell us whether you will live in the property during the work and which washing or cooking facilities must remain available. Access, deliveries, protection of adjoining rooms and waste removal all influence the programme. Start dates and duration depend on the scope, existing condition and product availability. Send your postcode, approximate room dimensions, supplier drawings, photographs, preferred timing and budget range if known. You can enquire before every finish is selected.
