Partition layout, openings and backing

Mark wall types, lengths, heights, door openings and changes in level on the current drawing. Include fixture locations and any specified backing before boarding. A wall-area total is useful for quantities, while openings and construction details still need their own information.

Where fire, acoustic, impact or other performance is required, send the complete system reference and design responsibility. Boards, framing, fixings, insulation and interfaces form part of that system. A generic board description or a progress photograph does not establish a performance rating.

Services and closure readiness

Identify the work inside or adjoining each partition, including service routes, boxes, access points and fixtures. Agree who confirms positions and readiness for closure. Record areas that stay open, because not every framed wall can be boarded at the same time.

Ceilings, bulkheads and wall junctions should have defined package boundaries. Include heights, access equipment, support and service interfaces in the brief. Give each area a clear release point

A practical closure register can show the room or wall reference, current drawing, backing locations, service work complete, required inspections and the person authorising closure. Keep outstanding decisions visible, and keep agreed records before the work is covered. These are coordination requirements for the project team. They do not replace the specified design.

Do you offer labour-only drylining packages?

We can discuss labour-only and supply-and-fit against the project specification. State who supplies each material, fixings, access equipment and waste removal. The quotation confirms the agreed responsibilities and site assumptions.

Can I enquire before all quantities are complete?

Yes. Send the current drawings and mark what is undecided. More detailed quantities, system information or a site review may be needed before the package can be priced firmly. Our enquiry planner can help organise known wall and ceiling dimensions.
