Victorian terraces and loft dormers
Walthamstow has street after street of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, many with slate roofs and a loft conversion added at the back. The flat roof on top of a rear dormer, and the lead where it meets the main roof, are common places for water to get in.
We renew dormer roofs in EPDM rubber or GRP fibreglass, replace lead cheeks and flashings, and repair the slates around them. Where neighbouring houses share a chimney stack, we check where it sits before work starts, as party wall rules may apply.
