Re-roofing interwar and post-war houses
Much of Havering was built between the 1920s and the 1960s, often with concrete tiles that can now be sixty years old or more. When tiles are crumbling, the underlay has perished or the battens have rotted, re-roofing with a new breathable membrane, battens and tiles costs less over time than chasing leaks.
For smaller problems we replace slipped tiles, rebed ridges and hips or fit a dry ridge system, and renew lead flashings around chimneys and walls. Tell us the age of the roof if you know it.
