Retain or replace in the same position

List each bath, shower, basin, toilet and furniture unit as retained or replaced. Replacing a product in its current position still needs dimensions, connection information and the surrounding finish checked. Old and new items may cover different areas of the wall or floor.

If you want a partial refresh, mark exactly where tiling and decoration stop. Removing a small tiled area can affect the background and neighbouring finishes. Agree how exposed edges, old fixing positions and the junction with retained tiles will be made good.

A changed layout or shower arrangement

Show the proposed positions as well as the current room. Drainage, water services, ventilation and electrical requirements need considering alongside the suite. Concealed fittings, wall-hung units and shower screens should have compatible parts and installation information available.

A bath-to-shower change or level-access proposal needs an assessed floor, drainage route and waterproofing detail. Order decisions before the fitting date

Put the product schedule together: visible fittings, concealed valves or frames, wastes, screens, furniture, tiles, trims and accessories. Record who supplies each item and when it will arrive. Check sizes and installation information before confirming the order, because late changes can affect the preparation and fitting sequence.

Tell us if this is the only toilet or bathroom. Agree the practical arrangements for periods without facilities and allow for the selected products’ preparation and curing stages. Questions before you enquire

Can I keep the bath and replace the tiling?

We can discuss a partial refurbishment. Send photographs of the retained bath, seals and surrounding tiles. The scope needs to consider removal, the background and how new waterproofing and finishes meet retained items.

Who checks that the fittings work together?

Identify the product supplier, designer where appointed and relevant installer for each decision. Send technical information for concealed and visible components together. Our quotation records the agreed installation work and any outstanding information or specialist appointments.

Can I supply the bathroom suite?

Yes, this can be agreed. Include the complete product list and delivery information, with responsibility for shortages and replacements. Adhesives, waterproofing, fixings and trims also need named suppliers, because they do not automatically arrive with the suite.

What to send for a useful quotation

Send the Orpington postcode, current room photographs, approximate dimensions and a retain/replace/relocate list. Add proposed products, tiling areas, known leaks or damage, whether this is the only bathroom, access arrangements and your preferred timing.
