Electrical work within a clear package

Lighting and socket layouts

Plan ceiling lights, wall lights, switching and socket positions around furniture, kitchen units and everyday use. Confirm whether you are supplying accessories and light fittings or want them in the quotation.

Rewiring and circuit alterations

We can discuss rewiring or new circuits where the existing installation and proposed load need them. Access, cable routes and the condition of the existing consumer unit need assessing before the scope is fixed.

Kitchens, bathrooms and lofts

Sort out appliance information, extraction, lighting and power before walls and ceilings close. Fitting locations, room use and the electrical design have to work together.

Commercial refurbishment

Defined lighting and power installation packages for offices, shops and other interiors. Tell us about supply capacity, landlord requirements, operating hours and any specialist systems at the outset.

Coordinate first fix, finishing and testing

Agree a marked-up layout before first fix. A list of socket numbers alone does not establish cable routes, circuit requirements, containment, controls or the condition of the existing installation.

Plan isolation and shutdown periods around occupied rooms or trading hours. Make responsibilities for chasing, ceiling openings, fire-stopping details, access panels, patching and decoration explicit, so the electrical work and finishes follow a workable sequence.

Confirm who is responsible for electrical design, inspection, testing, certification and any building-control notification before work starts. The documents required depend on the work, and any remedial work found necessary on the existing installation should be identified and agreed separately.

What affects electrical installation costs?

Extent of the work

Replacing an accessory, adding a circuit and rewiring a property are different scopes. Define the rooms, equipment and retained installation.

Routes and access

Occupied rooms, existing finishes, floor access and concealed routes affect the work needed and the amount of making good.

Equipment and specification

Compare the same light fittings, accessories, controls and containment. Note client-supplied products and any specialist design.

Completion responsibilities

State testing, certification, notification where applicable, labelling, waste removal and reinstatement. Confirm exclusions and VAT treatment.

Yes. Send the latest plan and product information so the appointed electrician can review the electrical requirements and we can coordinate the building and finishing work.

Are testing and certificates included?

The quotation should specify the testing and documentation for the agreed electrical package, who will provide them and any separate notification arrangements. Confirm these before accepting the scope.

Do you offer emergency attendance or standalone EICRs?

This page covers planned installation and refurbishment work. Emergency response, inspection-only services and any specialist systems need separate confirmation when you enquire.

What to send for an electrical quotation

Send the postcode, property type, room layouts, lighting and socket requirements, and equipment or appliance details. Include any existing reports, access restrictions, planned building works and the dates you are working towards. Photographs are useful without opening electrical enclosures.
