Plan around clients, staff and appointments
Start with the number of styling or treatment positions, the reception and waiting area, storage and the routes people use through the salon. A useful brief explains how the space should work as well as how it should look. Tell us whether the premises will be vacant or trading, and identify your intended opening date so access, deliveries, noisy work and any proposed phases can be considered together.
Agree equipment and specialist interfaces early
Styling chairs, backwash units, treatment equipment, mirrors and fitted storage need an agreed layout and supply plan. Provide manufacturers’ requirements and identify who is responsible for plumbing, drainage, power, lighting and ventilation. We review the building-work interfaces and define Vayton’s package in the quotation. Specialist design, installations, testing and certification are included only where expressly agreed with the relevant providers.
Massage & wellness studios
For massage rooms and wellness spaces, discuss speech privacy, outside noise, lighting, ventilation, cleaning and linen storage early. Tell us the number of rooms, the equipment you plan to use and whether washbasins or other connections are needed. These details help define the partitions, finishes and building-work package.
Where acoustic performance or specialist systems are required, provide the design specification and identify the relevant adviser or installer. Any clinical or regulated treatment requirements must be identified by the operator and its advisers before responsibilities and pricing are agreed.

What to send with your enquiry
Send your postcode, approximate floor area, photographs and any proposed layout. Include the number of workstations or treatment rooms, equipment details, finish preferences, an indicative budget and your target opening or reopening date. Tell us about landlord requirements and working-hour restrictions. If you are still exploring options, an outline of the business and the changes you need is enough to begin.
Choose a starting scope that matches the changes your business needs. Equipment, layout and existing condition determine what can be included.
Reception and finish refresh
Review decoration, local repairs and the finishes around retained furniture. Identify the areas clients will see, what must stay in place and whether the work can be grouped into a planned closure.
Styling-area upgrade
Define the positions of mirrors, chairs, backwash units and storage. Agree the building work separately from equipment supply, specialist connections and any changes to power, drainage or ventilation.
Treatment-room interiors
Identify room layout, partitions, doors, privacy and cleaning requirements. Where acoustic performance or specialist services matter, provide the required specification and relevant adviser’s details before pricing.
Each package is assessed for the property and agreed in writing. No fixed price, duration or availability is implied.
This depends on the work, access and any interruption to essential facilities. Tell us which appointments and workstations must remain available. Phasing or work outside trading hours can be discussed, but the arrangement and programme need to be agreed for the particular site.
Can I supply salon furniture and equipment?
Yes, client-supplied items can be discussed. Share dimensions, installation instructions and delivery dates before the layout and price are finalised. The quotation should identify who receives, stores, assembles and connects each item, and any work that needs a specialist installer.
What affects the quotation?
Existing condition, preparation, layout changes, finish specification and access all affect cost. Equipment connections and changes to building services can also alter the scope. We review these points before preparing a written quotation; there is no single price per salon that suits every premises.
