Plumbing in Enfield for leaks, burst pipes, taps and toilets, new showers and shower rooms, radiators, and boiler repairs by our Gas Safe registered engineer. Send a photo of the problem and we will tell you what it needs.
Before Vayton was set up, our director managed the refit of a shower room in Enfield: stripped back to the walls, then large grey tiles, a quadrant shower with black fittings, a vanity basin and a towel radiator. We cover the whole borough, from Enfield Town, Bush Hill Park and Enfield Lock to Southgate, Palmers Green, Winchmore Hill and Edmonton.
The same Enfield shower room stripped back and then finished, managed by our director before Vayton was established.
Tell us what needs doing
Showers and shower rooms
We fit and replace mixer and thermostatic showers, shower trays and enclosures, and plumb complete shower rooms from first fix to the finished room. Where a shower has failed, we check the valve, the tray seal and the waste before suggesting a new one.
Leaking showers often come down to tired silicone or grout rather than the pipes. We strip and reseal trays and baths, and if water has got behind the tiles we tell you before it turns into a ceiling repair downstairs.
Leaks, taps, toilets and radiators
We trace and repair leaks from pipes, joints and valves, replace taps and stopcocks, and fix toilets that run or will not flush. Radiators can be added, moved, replaced or fitted with new valves, and cold systems flushed.
Boiler faults and repairs are handled by our Gas Safe registered engineer. Tell us the make and model and any fault code on the display, and we will say whether it is a repair or time for a replacement.
Before the plumber arrives in Enfield
If water is leaking, turn it off at the stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink, and switch off any light circuit near the water. For an urgent leak, call or WhatsApp us with photographs and we will tell you how soon we can get there.
Many Enfield houses are interwar semis and Edwardian terraces, where the bathroom is often small and upstairs at the back. Moving a shower or toilet there depends on where the soil stack runs and which way the floor joists lie, so send a photo of the back wall outside as well as the room.
Typical plumbing prices in north London
These are typical ranges, not fixed prices. We confirm the call-out charge before anyone sets off, and larger work is quoted in writing after we have seen it.
Work
Typical price
Call-outs
Call-out and first hour typically £90 to £150 in the daytime and £150 to £250 in the evening or at weekends.
New showers
Fitting a new mixer or thermostatic shower typically costs £250 to £700 for the labour in London, or £300 to £1,000 including a standard shower.
Leaks and burst pipes
A straightforward leak repair typically £80 to £150, and a burst pipe typically £100 to £500 depending on what has to be opened up.
Shower room refits
A complete shower room is priced after a visit, because the tiling, tray, enclosure and any change of layout make up most of the cost.
Prices usually exclude VAT. Damage to ceilings or walls from a leak is priced separately, and our plasterers and decorators can repair it in the same job.
Yes. Most shower leaks come from failed silicone, cracked grout or a loose waste, and a reseal or a new waste fixes them. If the tray has moved or cracked, we replace it. Send photos of the tray edges and of any stain below.
Do you cover all of Enfield?
Yes. Our plumber covers the borough and the rest of north and east London. Send your postcode and we will confirm.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Boiler and gas work is done by our Gas Safe registered engineer. Ask to see their Gas Safe ID card when they arrive.
What to send for a useful quotation
Send your Enfield postcode, photographs of the leak, shower or fitting, what you have already tried and whether the water is off. For a new shower room, add rough sizes and photos of the room as it is now.
If the work needs a site visit before we price it, our engineer's visit is free, with no obligation.
